The akDLN develops online learning for business, not-for-profits, and independent practitioners. Learning may be in a course format, with objectives, assignments, outcomes, evaluation, and publishing of a certificate. It may be informal, usually delivered as a ‘community of interest.’ This format is great for projects with decentralized teams and for activities that do not need to be tracked for completion. Ever thought about capturing good ideas that could lead to new projects and services? This might be the way to do it at low cost.

What is right for you?

The akDLN offers four ways to create online courses and communities:
Client-Written
The akDLN provides a course template, enabling your trainers and facilitators to create original course content to be offered online. Your send course objectices materials to our team, and our instructional media designers and adult learning specialists, assist you to create an engaging online version. Then we place them in the akDLN for enrollment by your staff or clients. You control who enrolls!
akDLN-Written
We will contract a subject matter expert to write original content for a course requested by your company or project. Once the team has completed the course design, it will be placed in the akDLN. We work directly with your facilitator or trainer to ensure that the course content meets your training or compliance needs.
akDLN Courses
The akDLN offers online courses and communities that have been developed by qualified subject matter experts. Our library courses may feature scholarly text, exams, assignments, references, discussion board questions and graphics. Some course content is enhanced with video and Flash.
We also offer courses from MediaLabInc. Designed for health care providers, these courses are complete with assessment tools and learning objects to address various learning styles. Courses from other sources are also integrated within the akDLN when copyright or licensing permits.
Textbook-Based
You can select a text or electronic file(s) that will be used with your training. Your facilitator or trainer request written authorization from the publisher to utilize the standard textbook companion resources and then akDLN consultants work with you to prepare and place those materials in the akDLN. The course resources and the online environment will serve as a platform that connects students with the textbook’s additional features, including PowerPoint presentations, discussion questions or exams approved by the publisher for your use.
